Arm Lifting
Procedure - After weight loss be it
sudden or gradual the skin around the arms fail to tighten, the only
way to improve this is via a lift. Unfortuantely Liposuction is not
really an option at this point because the skin in that area is already
loose. The incison made reaches from the arm pit down to the inside of
the upper arm and the excess skin is removed.
Durration - 2 hours
Anesthesia - General or local anesthetic
Hospital Stay - Generally an out patient, leaves the same day. Under certain circumstances patient may have to spend the night.
Risks - side effects may be poor healing,
excessive scarring, hematoma, blistering of skin (may lead to permanent
scarring) and permanenet numbness (less than a 1% chance).
